In the world of natural wine every bottle has a story to tell. And when a critic and journalist of the standing of Marco Colognese pauses over one, his words become a bridge between the passion of the grower and the experience of the person drinking it.
Marco Colognese, known for catching the soul of a wine and telling it with depth and sensitivity, wrote about our estate and appreciated the personality of our Giglio Rosa.
It is a recognition that makes us proud, because every bottle we make is the result of careful, artisanal work that respects the land. Our rosé was born from the idea of making a great food rosé, one that expresses freshness, character and identity, starting from Barbera grapes alone. Knowing that an expert has recognised these qualities pushes us to keep going down this road with even more determination.
We thank Marco Colognese and Reporter Gourmet for telling our story with sensitivity and care, and for capturing the essence of Giglio Rosa. His voice, authoritative and passionate, confirms that wine is culture, storytelling and sharing.

Giglio Rosa at a glance
- Still rosé wine, 100% Barbera, from twenty-year-old vines in Grazzano Badoglio, Monferrato, at 350 metres.
- Hand-harvested in crates, soft-pressed, fermented spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in steel.
- 12.5% vol; first vintage 2022; Nomacorc Green closure.
- Organic conversion with ICEA began in 2023, and our wines are now ICEA certified.
- Serve at 10–12 °C with Piedmontese antipasti, vitello tonnato, freshwater fish or fresh cheeses (more in our Barbera food pairing guide).
Why make a rosé from Barbera at all? We explain it in Barbera rosé: why it works and how it's made. And the vines it comes from are the ones we saved when the estate began: that is a good story from Monferrato.
